Sam is a magnificent four year old Black and White Tuxedo with a black 'zorro' mask over his white face, classic markings and a very long tail. He has lots of long white whiskers and four adorable white feet that look like he just walked though white paint! He was rescued from the shelter just in time. Sam's favorite things in the world are playing with his toys, cuddling with his foster parents, and getting attention. He has a wonderful purr, loves other cats and gets along well with small dogs. Now that Sam is safe and sound, he is hoping to get into his forever home soon. To meet Sam, contact Julieta: julietagilbert@yahoo.com or 818.605.5936

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sam, a Sherman Oaks Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sherman Oaks, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sherman Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
