If Gizzy has a bit of a lost and distant expression, it's easy to understand why. She spent her life in a home and now she's starting all over again. Gizzy is a 7 year old lab/shepherd mix that was turned in because her owners lost their home. Poor Gizzy doesn't understand what happened and why she's here, but she's making the best of it and making friends already. Gizzy had two surgeries during her life for a condition which makes her eyelashes grow into her eyes. She is fine now, but will need eye ointment indefinitely. A small price to pay for bringing this sweet and loving girl into your life. Gizzy is a bit shy and unsure of things when she first meets you but if you give her time, she warms right up and will be your best friend. She's well behaved and very sweet. Gizzy lived with a dog much younger than her and sometimes they got along, sometimes they didn't. She may be ok with another dog, given the time to get to know them. She grew up with kids and loves people of all ages. Gizzy would love you forever if you give her the lifetime of happiness that she deserves. File#26802 10/31/16
