Ranger (Neutered)'s Info...

I am already neutered, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with cats.

Ranger (Neutered)'s Story...
"Ranger" is a handsome 9-year old male Labrador Retriever mix who arrived at the HSOV on October 12, 2016 along with his companion "Bear" (who is a Shepherd mix) after a Good Samaritan found them on State Route 550 near Pinehurst in the Marietta Ohio area. Both "Ranger" and "Bear" were wearing collars with their names written on them, but unfortunately there was neither a dog tag nor an id tag (or phone number) on the collars to enable us to locate their owner. "Ranger" has a black short smooth coat with a small white patch on his chest, rather short legs, a long tail, and a noble-looking face with a dusting of white on his muzzle and on his eyebrows. He has beautiful brown eyes and large floppy ears "Ranger" is very bonded with his best friend "Bear", and they are sharing a large area in our shelter so that they can remain together. "Ranger" does not appear to do well with cats or small children :( Our kennel techs would be happy to introduce you to "Ranger & Bear" (they always insist on being together). "Ranger" weighs 61.2 lbs. He has already been neutered and has been given rabies vaccine.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ranger (Neutered), a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
