This positively adorable little lady is Emory, an 8 month old shih tzu/maltese mix that is ready to begin life in a fabulous home of her own. Emory came to us from our Newark facility after she was found as a matted and messy stray. How on earth could that happen? We'll never know, but it's all a thing of the past now that Emory is safe and taken care of, and loving life every day. Emory is the type of dog that is never, ever down. When she's out for a walk, she hops along with excitement, eager to find a pinecone or something to play with, hop into someone's lap to get some attention, or meet another dog and hope that they'll be her friend. Emory seems to get along great with all dogs and has played with both our largest mastiff to our tiniest chihuahua. She's a little love bug that is always upbeat, perky, and super sweet. She's so outgoing and friendly, and never met anyone she didn't like. Emory is very well behaved and ladylike too. She is not one to be a couch potato so she will need a home where she'll get plenty of playtime and exercise.
