Angie's Story...
Angie is a 9 week, 8 pound (as of 11/22/16) hound mix. She is such a sweet baby! She loves playing tug of war and learning tricks with kibble rewards. She sleeps through the night in her crate with no whining.  She loves walking and running on the leash! Angie is a fast learner and responds well to positive reinforcement. She gets along well with dogs and humans of all ages. She enjoys being outside, cuddling when she’s sleepy, and playing with her toys. Angie rarely barks, is crate trained, and is learning to walk well on a leash. She had learned the command sit and is learning come!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Angie, a New York Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in New York, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
