Phoebe's Info...

Phoebe's Story...
"Phoebe" is a cute 3-year old female Rat Terrier mix who was surrendered by her owner on November 9, 2016 along with Honey Bear, Joey, and Winnie who had shared her previous home. "Phoebe" has a white short smooth coat with patches of tan and an adorable face with large erect ears. This little girl cannot understand what happened to turn her whole world upside down, and she was understandably a very scared, frightened young lady when she was brought to our shelter. "Phoebe" is slowly learning to trust HSOV Humane Officer Misty Carpenter, and we have high hopes that "Phoebe" will soon be ready to accept the kindness and affection that other staff and volunteers would love to bestow upon her. These photos were taken in Misty's office on November 10th, and "Phoebe" was already beginning to relax slightly and enjoy sitting in the window near Misty's desk for a view of the outside world. She is now sharing a kennel with one of her best friends (Winnie) and depends upon her for comfort and security. "Phoebe" is a petite young lady who weighs approximately 15 lbs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoebe, a Marietta Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
