video of this happy, lovely cat available at

Lucy is a beautiful Maine Coon female kitty. She is about 10 years old. She has beautiful brown black markings with white chest and paws and long ear tuffs. Her eyes are a beautiful green color. Her story is a sad one. Lucy's owners were moving to Hawaii and didn't want the hassle of paperwork to take her. She was brought into rescue because her owners were taking her to the shelter to have her euthanized.

Lucy is loving and very affectionate to her humans. She is probably be happier as an only cat. She gets along well with foster mom's dogs.

She is spayed and fully vetted. She is looking for a forever home where her owners will not euthanize her out of convenience to them.

Lucy is fostered in Rancho Murrieta which is south east Sacramento area.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucy, a Davis Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Davis, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
