Max's Story...
This big handsome boy is Max, a 5 1/2 Anatolian Shepherd mix looking for his new family to come and get him. He and his housemate, Bella, came to the shelter when their previous was having to move for a job and couldn't take them with him. Max and Bella have grown up together, and are very dependent on each other. We would like to see them be adopted together after all they have been trough with each other. Max is a gentle giant, weighing around 85lbs. He may seem intimidating at first, but is such a sweetheart! He is great with kids of all ages, and has been great with other family pets in the past. He will bark at strange dogs and cats, but if they are part of the family, he does fine after getting used to them. Max isn't a fan of fireworks, thunder, or loud noises in general. He does best with Bella by his side! He is a smart boy, and know his basic commands. He is housetrained and crate-trained. Max enjoys being brushed, playing in the water, and playing fetch. He is mildly active and would like to have a yard to explore and run around in, or go on walks. He has been neutered, is current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Come and meet this awesome pair at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook! We are open daily from 12-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Benbrook Anatolian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Anatolian Shepherd for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Anatolian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Anatolian Shepherd breeders who help with Anatolian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
