Rella's Story...
Rella is a gorgeous 4-5 year old, approx. 24 lb, female Spitz mix. Rella is quite shy, warms up slowly, and tends to warn up faster to women. Rella enjoys other dogs and may do best in a home with another dog friendly dog to follow and learn from. Rella is crate trained, still learning to be comfortable on leash, and will do best with a fenced yard. Rella is not fully housebroken yet. Because of Rella's skittish behavior, young, active children are not recommanded. Rella will do best in a calm, quiet home where her new family can give her plenty of time and patience. Rella is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, on heartworm and flea/tick prevention.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rella, a Elmhurst Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
