I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Trinket was impounded at a high kill shelter where no one wanted her because she had "cherry eye." We saved her and now she is safe. She had surgery to repair her cherry eye. She is all healed up and doing great. She is about 10 months old, 15 pounds and is great with other dogs. She is pretty much done growing. Trinket is young and energetic and will need someone who has the time to train and exercise her.
We are a not-for-profit animal rescue organization. We rescue dogs from high kill shelters, many of them the day they are to be euthanized and give them a second chance at life. We also rescue stray dogs and abandoned animals and find loving homes for them.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have an actual facility. Our dogs are in foster homes until their forever homes are found. We usually hold our adoption events at Petco 2-3 Saturdays a month from 1:30pm-4pm. Please contact us for our schedule and if you would like to meet one of our dogs. Please keep in mind our schedule changes from time to time so please contact us directly to confirm, NOT Petco.
Our Adoption Process...
The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application on our main website prior to coming to meet the animal(s) you are interested in. The application can be found at www.smoochpoochrescue.com and will give us an idea if the animal will be a good match for you, your family and lifestyle. We also require an adoption contract, adoption fee and home visit. We DO NOT operate on a first come basis but rather the best suited home for our animals.

You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
