My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey guys! My name’s Panik. I was named after Joe Panik, the San Francisco Giants second baseman. My siblings, Madison, Posey, Gillaspie, Kelby, Casilla, and I were rescued by Henrico Humane Society when we were really little. Our foster home is nice, but the other kitties tell me that forever homes are even better, so I’ve made it my mission to find one of those!

I think I’m pretty special because I’m the only boy in my family. Do you know what it’s like to grow up in a room full of chatty little girls? Sheesh! I love my sisters, but sometimes I just need a little me time. And I think the best kind of me time is the kind where I snuggle up in my foster’s lap for a long, quiet nap.

Don’t get me wrong though, I sure do love to play. I have tried out a lot of toys in my foster home, but two of my favorites are that wand thing with the strings and feathers on the end and those crinkle balls because I can chase them all over. I’m also a champion climber. If there’s a cat tree around, you’ll find me at the top!

I don’t have a lot of requirements for my forever home. I really love people, so I want a home with special humans who will give me lots of attention and let me snuggle whenever I want. I also think that I’d really like to have a furry friend to play with in my forever home. If that sounds like your house, sign me up.

The best way to ensure you have a good chance of adopting me is to fill out an online application at www.henricohumane.org/adopt/application-for-cats/. We take applications on a first come, first served basis, so applying quickly is always recommended!

Our adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco next to Trader Joe's in Short Pump from 11:00 to 3:00 (11331 West Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA). To find out if I will be attending this week's adoption event, please email cats@henricohumane.org.

If you're not sure which cat you're interested in, or are just beginning to search for a companion, our adoption coordinators can help! Just fill out a short questionnaire at www.henricohumane.org/adopt/cat-adoption-questionnaire/ that will help us match you with our wonderful cats or visit us at our adoption stand.
