Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, my name is Scrappy. I am about 1 ½ years old and I am a Black Mouth Cur/Great Dane mix. Yup, you guessed it – I’m a big boy. You remember that cartoon character Scooby Doo? Scooby had a cousin named Scrappy Doo? I look a little bit like him but err, cuter! One day I wondered into someone’s yard. I had no tags on and I wasn’t microchip. Thankfully that person knew someone who was an Animal Rescuer and she contacted the right person. They scanned me for a chip and I waited days in her home vs me going into a shelter. Nobody claimed so I came to a foster home where I now wait for a forever home. That’s sounds like a nice place – a forever home. I like my foster home though. There’s a little dog that lives here and a bunch of cats. I have lots of energy so I chase the cats but my foster Mom tells me NO and I stop. My foster Mom knows I was someone’s dog because I know some commands: SIT, DOWN and SHAKE. I can catch a ball, I’m not food or toy aggressive but when I get excited I do jump and being a big dog (I weigh about 75lbs) I might need a caution around little kids. But I settle down after a while. I walk pretty well on my leash. I like going outside because then I get to run around and I do have lots of energy. I’m young so I have lots of energy. I love, just LOVE playing with my toys especially if it’s a ball. I do this funny thing. I have a ball that I can pop out of my mouth and throw in the air and then I catch it right back. I make people laugh. Want to come meet me and I’ll make you laugh? I hope someday I will have my own home again and this home will have a really good fence so I won’t become a stray again. Maybe that family will give some training so that I can become a well-behaved dog. It starts with you meeting me. So please contact my foster Mom. Thanks, Scrappy.
