Duke's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Duke's Story...
Duke is a 3 year old shepherd mix. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations. Duke will do about anything for a treat. Roll over, spin, you name it. He is very friendly and just a love, but also a bed hog. Duke needs an active family who will get him the exercise he needs. A tired dog is a happy dog is his motto. And a fenced yard is a must. Duke is a life of the party but is not fond of cats or farm animals. He is good with other dogs though. Duke does like to bark but that is easily corrected once he starts. He needs a little work on his bad manner of jumping on people but he is smart and learns fast. If you are looking for an active loving dog, Duke is your guy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a Roslyn Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Roslyn, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Roslyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roslyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roslyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roslyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
