Cuddles's Story...
Hi, my name is Cuddles. I am 2 years old and I am a Tuxedo cat. My name describes me to a “T” – I like to cuddle but once upon a time I didn’t like to cuddle. See, I came from a home that was abusing me. Someone rescued me from that home and tried to take care of me but the landlord didn’t allow pets so they contacted IAR for help. I was supposed to stay in this foster home for a little awhile but they left me here too. How can anyone forget or hurt me? I’m cute, fluffy and like to cuddle. So I’ve been in this foster home where I’ve learned to trust people especially men and children and I’ve gotten so much better living here. There are big dogs that live here. They run and bark a lot so I stay out of their way but the other kitties that live here they are my friends. I like to spend my days on the top shelf of the closest – that’s my cat cave …. Hee hee or if there is room, on my foster Mom’s lap. I am litterbox trained and I don’t cause any trouble. I would love to have a family of my own that could love me and take care of me. Would you come meet me? That would be really nice. We can cuddle. Xoxo, Cuddles

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cuddles, a Palatine Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Palatine, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Palatine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palatine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palatine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palatine paves the way for another one to be saved.
