Facts about Mini-Max

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (Mostly)
  • Age: Young
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
Max is totally adorable, he loves everything and everybody. Just 11 months old, he is VERY small for his age and looks more like a 5mo old kitten...a precious little munchkin! He likes to snuggle with his person, sit on your shoulder and purr up a storm or take a nap on a lap. Max also loves cats and dogs. Max is fearless, athletic, curious and playful. He is seeking a home where he'll have another kitty companion and will make a wonderful family member. Posted 11/25/16

** Did you know that black cats are half as likely to be adopted as other colors and are considered to be the underdog of the cat world? Give Max a chance and he'll prove what a loving companion he can be! **

Adoption includes free 1st wellness exam at any Caring Hands Animal Hospital.

About Home Alone Feline Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small, private feline-only rescue group dedicated to the rescue, care and placement of homeless cats and kittens. We do not have a shelter and rely on a group of dedicated foster homes to care for our felines until a "fur-ever" home can be found. We actively promote the importance of spaying and neutering and best practices in companion animal care. The majority of our cats/kittens come from high-kill shelters. We do not receive any government funding and rely on private contributions, 100% of which go to provide medical care, food and supplies.

You can support our rescue by shopping your favorite online stores through AdoptAShelter.com. It's FREE and easy to use. Simply click on the link below which will connect you directly to our shelter's shopping page. Then shop like you always do at your favorite stores, including Amazon, Ebay, Petsmart & Home Depot. Whatever you buy, a portion of EVERY purchase will come to us in a cash donation.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our cats are in private foster homes; therefore, we require an application be completed before setting up appointments to meet them; an application can be e-mailed, faxed or mailed upon request. Adopters must be within a reasonable driving distance to No. VA ( 60 minutes); we do not ship/transport our animals. We participate in public adoption event held in various locations in the Wash.DC/No. VA areal most Sundays in conjunction with other rescuers. Please e-mail us for specifics.

Our Adoption Process...

We strive to make the "purr-fect" match through our interview and application process. Adoption fees, which range from $100-$135, include all medical work (FELV/FIV testing, shots; spay/neuter, etc); home visits are required prior to final placement. The majority of our kittens are only available for adoption in pairs or as a companion to another young cat/kitten already in the home. Sorry, but we do not adopt very young kittens to families with children under 6 yrs old due to safety concerns for both child and kitten. Adopters also receive a certificate for a free comprehensive wellness exam at any Caring Hands Animal Hospital.
