DJ's Story...
FOR ADOPTION: This outgoing six month old female is DJ. She is very much the life of the party and always happy to be the centre of attention. DJ loves everyone and everything. She is fantastic with kids, other cats, and dogs, and would thrive in a home where she had lots of new buddies to interact with.
DJ has out grown the crazy kitten stage of her life, but she still throughly enjoys a good play session. She is also very happy to settle in for a cuddle. She has been 100% indoor so far in her life and is very happy as an indoor cat.
DJ has been spayed, vaccinated, and preventatively treated with Revolution. If your family is looking for a pet superstar, DJ is your girl. Apply today at www.nwas.ca for a chance to meet her and all of our other lovely felines.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DJ, a Smithers Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Smithers, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Smithers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithers paves the way for another one to be saved.
