Abigail's Story...
Dec. 17 This is the best dog ever! However, she is timid and fearful of men and other dogs. She is great in the house and follows you around like a velcro dog. She has learned to sit and is doing very well at not jumping up. On a hike, she will stay with you off leash and even wait for you if she gets too far in front. She is only 44 lbs. so a really nice size. She loves to ride in the car and just settles down and sleeps. She does "inhale" her food, so some serving controls are necessary with her. She would be a fabulous dog for a woman with no other pets or man in the household.
Nov. 17: This beautiful girl was found wandering our Jemez Springs village. After finally catching her, she calmed down into a really sweet girl. She is good with other dogs, adults and kids. She has been spayed, had all her shots and tests (Negative) and is chipped too. Adoption application required; adoption fee $100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abigail, a Jemez Springs Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei for sale in Jemez Springs, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei dog from a breeder in Jemez Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jemez Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jemez Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Shar Pei rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jemez Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
