Porche's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Porche's Story...
Porche is a gentle, lovable, affectionate, playful and very sweet, 11 or 12-year-old, male black and white Shih Tzu looking for a loving guardian.

Porche was dropped off at Animal Welfare League wearing a Bear’s jersey when his family could no longer take care of him. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. His back legs are a little weak and wobbly and he can’t see very well. But, his spirit is strong and very loving.

He is looking for a family to spend his remaining days with being adored and cherished.

His adoption fee of $250 benefits the rescued dogs of Famous Fido. To meet and possibly adopt Porche, please contact Gloria at fido@famousfidorescue.com or 773-907-0305. Porche is currently at the Famous Fido Rescue facility at 3124 W. Irving Park Road (at Troy Street) in Chicago.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Porche, a Chicago Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
