  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: LF
  • Hair: Short
Sable was rescued from a local kill shelter where she had been brought in as a stray. Her exotic markings, emerald green eyes and sweet personality had charmed the shelter volunteers. A FFAR volunteer saw her there when picking up other cats and was super impressed with her personality. She came home with the volunteer and became part of FFAR's foster/adoption program that very day. Sable has to belong to some exotic breed, perhaps there are some Bengal genes in there somewhere with her unusual coloration and spots. She is very outgoing and friendly in her foster home - a definite lap kitty - and vet aged at only two years old. She gets along with kids, cats, and dogs. She hisses if another cat gets in her personal space (about two feet around her), but doesn't respond in any other way and this would undoubtedly minimize completely in time. If an exotic beauty with huge green eyes sounds like a match for your next forever family member, look no further! Fill out an application and adopt Sable today!

For further information please contact us at or call 214-676-2434. Anyone interested in our cats will be required to fill out an adoption application. All our cats will be spayed or neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations. We do ask for a $140 adoption donation. To fill out an application on line, just go to and click on the Adoption Application link.

About Furry Friends Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Furry Friends Animal Rescue

We are a new group started in 2013 by a large group of experienced rescuers - we wanted to be part of an ethical rescue group which would allow us to help homeless cats and dogs in the North Texas area. We value all the experience and knowledge brought to this group by the volunteers so the group is member based. We welcome new volunteers and fosters, both experienced or new to rescue. You can contact us by email or through our website - we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All our cats and dogs live in foster homes so we don't have a physical shelter for you to visit.
A selection of FFAR cats will be showcased EVERY DAY at

Frisco PetSmart #2376 (DNT/Eldorado) and
McKinney PetSmart #1751 N. Central Expressway.

Adoption Counselors will be in attendance on Saturday and Sunday.
Frisco location: Saturday from 11 am - 4 pm. and Sunday from 12 noon - 4 p.m.
McKinney location: Saturday and Sunday 12 noon - 4 pm

A selection of the FFAR dogs will be at Frisco Petsmart #2376 (DNT/Eldorado) on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of the month from usually 11 am - 4 p.m.
Adoption Counselors will be in attendance during that time.

If you are interested in meeting any of our cats or dogs, just send us a an email or fill out an Adoption Application on our website. The Adoption Application is not a commitment just a means of introduction. We look forward to hearing from you!

Our Adoption Process...

We do not adopt on a first-come, first-served basis - it is our goal to find the right home for the cat or dog as well ensuring that the cat or dog is the right match for it's new family. A win/win situation.
For dogs, we require an application, home visit for approved application, and home trial period to ensure that it's a good fit for the dog and the family.
For cats, we require an application, but do allow same-day adoptions. Our goal is to find our fosters a "forever" home.
Our Adoption Fees are $140 for cats and $175 for dogs.

All our cats and dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption - this includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, feline leukemia/aids testing, heartworm tests, deworming, spay or neuter, microchips and other medical treatment as required.

You can fill out an Adoption Application online on our website.
