Facts about Pearl

  • Breed: Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Pearl was rescued from a shelter where dogs go and rarely leave. Due to overcrowding, lack of spay and neuter in the rural south, so many lovely dogs never have a chance. We were so lucky to find Pearl, a sweet gem who is loving, fun, active and a great family girl. At 2 - 3 years old, she has not slowed down. She is active, looooves to play with her furry foster brothers and sisters and is very sweet with all the people she meets. What Pearl does not have is a family and home of her own. Pearl is a medium sized girl at about 45 lbs. She would be a great new sibling for a dog who likes to play, or for an active family looking for a new play buddy. This beautiful girl is hard to photograph, but her gorgeous fur and loving eyes say it all. We do know that any family would be lucky to have her join. If you think Pearl is the girl for you, please copy and paste this link to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Pearl has been cured of heart worms, spayed and is up to date on her shots. Full vetting and transport up north included in her $4425 adoption fee. We cannot be certain what her true mix is.

About Sweet Adoptables

About Our Rescue Group...

Our first experience with rescue was when we brought Jessie up from a kill shelter in North Carolina. Our family couldn't believe that they were killing sweet, wonderful dogs like this every day. We decided to do something about it. That was the beginning of our journey into rescue in 2006.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Sorry, You CAN'T Visit Us - We DO NOT have a facility in Connecticut. All of our dogs (unless noted) remain in the south until they have an approved adopter.

Our Adoption Process...

How To Adopt From Us
The first step is to SUBMIT AN APPLICATION found on each dog's Petfinder description. When possible, the next step is checking with your Vet reference. We will then schedule a phone interview with the potential adopter to determine if the dog would be a good match for your family. A home visit is at our discretion. If the match is approved, the adopter will enter into an adoption agreement, at which point we arrange transport for the dog to it's new family. We endeavor to create forever homes for these deserving dogs; therefore, we reserve the right to refuse adoption of a dog if we determine the family is not the correct match for the dog/puppy.
