Serenity's Story...
SERENITY NEEDS AN IMMEDIATE FOSTER OR ADOPTER!
Serenity is an 8 year old pure bred Shiba Inu. She came to us after she was unwanted when her parents got a divorce. Serenity has been fostered with our rescue trainer and we have gotten to know her very well. She is not perfect with other dogs, so a home where she is the only dog is a must, but she can happily visit with other dogs while muzzled for short periods of time. Serenity is wonderful with cats. Kids above 10 would be best!
If you have ever wanted to try fostering, or are looking for a sweet girl to adopt, please submit an adoption application on our website at www.because4paws.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Serenity, a New Milford Shiba Inu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Shiba Inu dog from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu breeders who help with Shiba Inu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
