Hi there! I am Ajax. I was adopted as a young kitten by a wonderful family. They even got me a little sister, Missy, when they realized how playful and energetic I was. I was thrilled to have someone to play and cuddle with, and in no time at all, Missy and I were best friends. But families change and one day there was a new baby in household. Missy and I thought it would be so much fun to have a tiny human to love and play with us, but things didn’t turn out the way that we had hoped. The new baby was allergic to us, and we went from having a loving family with a brand new family member to being homeless. Lucky for us, the wonderful volunteers at Henrico Humane took us in and assured us they would find us our perfect forever home.
Missy and I are both very sweet and affectionate. I like to be held like a baby and have my stomach scratched. Missy doesn’t like to be picked up as much as I do, but we both love to curl up on laps for naptime! We also love to chase each other around and play with all of our wonderful toys. Missy seems to be partial to those sparkly tinsel balls, and I go crazy for any toys with feathers. It is really exciting when someone plays with us with those wand toys or a laser pointer. We so loved being part of a family and can’t wait to find a new forever family that will love us and that we can love back. Our only request is that we get to stay together. Missy and I have become best friends, and we just can’t imagine going to new homes by ourselves. You can get double the love because we have so much affection and love to give!

Our adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco next to Trader Joe's in Short Pump from 11:00 to 3:00 (11331 West Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA). To find out if I will be attending this week's adoption event, please email cats@henricohumane.org.
