Wow, what a stunning face – oh, a little cross eyed, how cute is that? His behavioral assessment states: “I Need Time To Warm Up, But I Am Worth The Wait”, and, as a totally happy and smitten kitty mom of a magnificent Siamese boy, I can wholeheartedly attest to that statement.
The shelter where he is currently located wants you to know that Latte is a beautiful Siamese cat with a soulful, yet conversational voice. He is a tad shy, but warms up as he feels safe and secure. In his previous home, he showed he wasn’t fond of a younger cat and then, a small terrier; this time around we are looking to find him a solo cat home to let him relax and provide one-on-one companionship for a lucky adopter. This independent guy may take his time to open up, so please be patient. In time, Latte will leave his shy retreating days behind, and enjoy becoming your pampered pussycat.
Please set up a small, comfortable, safe area where he can spend an introductory period of time in your home. The more often you visit him, the more quickly he will become receptive to you. When he is greeting you at the door, eating well, and using his litter box consistently, let him explore more of your home a bit at a time. Do give Latte the option to return to “home base” and the litter box as cats like to know where their comfort areas are kept. When he has gained full house privileges, set up another litter box or two on other levels of your home to assure continued litter box manners.
He is in perfect health and uses his litterbox as any well behaved little gentleman (or should we say gentlecat) is expected to.
