Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Wrangler is an approximately 5 month old male pit bull looking for his forever home. Wrangler entered our program on Monday, November 28th, with what appeared to be a snake or spider bite on his front right leg. Continually swelling and starting to darken, we rushed him to our clinic where he was monitored and radiographs were taken and sent to a specialist. The specialist has determined that Wrangler, at some point, fractured his leg/joint and never received proper care nor treatment. Because of this, the leg continued to swell and remain uncomfortable. The open wounds that we see are caused by the extreme swelling essentially "ripping" his skin! Can you say "OUCH?!" The good news is that the bone appears to be healing on its own and thus he will continue on clavamox for infection, an anti-inflammatory, and pain medication. His leg will need to be monitored over time, just to make sure it continues to heal properly.
Wrangler is otherwise a happy, sweet puppy looking for his forever home. We are accepting applications now and will approve a forever home, but will hang on to him until we have a definitive diagnosis and treatment plan.
This boy is *adorable* and much smaller than his pictures lead on to believe (around 20lb). We are so happy to have Wrangler in our program and we know his perfect, loving forever home is out there! Apply to adopt Wrangler by visiting www.mylongwayhome.org/pit bulls/adopt
