Henney is a positively gorgeous 3 year old German shepherd that is hoping for a loving, safe home where he will be cared for the way he deserves to be. Henney came to us from our Newark facility after he was found as a stray. His former owner was traced through a microchip but they never came to reclaim young Henney. Henney is optimistic about a better home in the future, and he is happy to make new friends every day. Henney is very outgoing and friendly, and very strong and energetic too. He has had a little training and will sit nicely and offer you a pawshake when asked, but he could use some training with walking politely on leash and not being grabby while playing. He will need an experienced owner that will give him direction, but Henney is very smart and learns quickly. He has no aggression issues while eating or taking treats and toys, and even when he grabs he does not do it in an aggressive way. He just needs to learn some manners. Henney will need a home with no other pets or children under 10 but he simply loves people and is very people-focused.
