My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi. I'm Addison. I'm an uber-sweet red, female, long-haired dachshund mix. I am between 1 - 2 years old & weigh ~19 lbs. I'd be considered a standard dachshund & some people think I look like a fox. You know what?....I'll take that. Foxes are divine and so am I.

When I first came to my foster home I was very scared, but now I can't stop wagging my tail! I'm still a little scared but quickly warming up to my new life. I love to snuggle with my foster family. I have been told that I have been a very well behaved little girl since I arrived! I am house trained. I get along great with my foster doggie brother! I don't know how I would react to a cat since I haven't been around any. Please consider adopting me! I just want to be loved & spoiled!

If you are interested in adopting Addison, you can fill out an application right on our website! Go to dreamhappytails.org/adoptform.shtml . Addison 's adoption fee is $375. All adoption fees go directly to veterinary care for DREAM dachshunds. Addison will go to her new home microchipped, altered, heartworm tested, and up to date on vaccinations. Most dogs' veterinary expenses are greater than our adoption fees.

DREAM is an all-volunteer rescue group, and we focus on the Atlanta, North Georgia and Savannah area. Because we are all volunteers, we can consider applications only within an hour of these areas. DREAM does not recommend purebred dachshunds for families with children under 5, or families planning to have children during the dog's lifetime. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a doxie's back.
