Radar's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Radar's Story...
Radar is an incredibly cute ball of cottony fur that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wag and a kiss. What isn't clear in this shelter photo is how truly beautiful this dog is...with one blue and one copper colored eye (and for all the world looking like he's wearing eyeliner)..he's absolutely one of the most adorable guys around.

At 12 - 18 months old and 11 lbs, Radar is a perfect size and weight to accompany his family just about anywhere a sweet small dog is welcome... while being large and active enough to love long walks while socializing with neighbors.

Radar is every bit the young guy...fun and active. But at the same time he is a happy and well-behaved pup (once used to his environment) who is not unnecessarily vocal. He's more likely to express himself with his wagging tail and excited kisses of love. At this early point in Radar's development, he loves everyone..be it human or canine. We want to nurture this positive vision of the world by matching Radar to a family who expresses their devotion for him in many different ways. Radar is an incredibly cute guy that climbs into your heart (and lap) with a wiggle and a kiss. What is clear in this photo is how truly beautiful this dog is...with one blue and one copper colored eye (and for all the world it looks like he's wearing eyeliner)..he's absolutely one of the most adorable guys around.

Right now, Radar is a blank slate who will soak up positive feedback with every effort to be the best behaved and most cuddly guy around. Radar is so loyal that he can easily be a constant companion - he would love nothing more than trips to the store (he's a great window-shopping friend), lap-sitting or even a place at a pet-friendly workplace. Radar is flexible enough that he can be introduced to virtually any situation...and if there is love and gentle guidance...he can succeed.

Radar's new family needs to have the motivation, energy and open heart for a young rescue dog. He requires behavioral guidance and tons of love to continue his positive attitude about the world. Radar will be fully vetted and neutered when he arrives in Boulder to be in line with our commitment to zero population growth in dogs.

Radar is currently in a foster home in Colorado. Applications are currently being accepted for our sweet pup. If interested in this adorable ...and very cuddly and loving best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Radar, a Boulder Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund for sale in Boulder, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Boulder.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boulder already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boulder breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small)/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boulder paves the way for another one to be saved.
