Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Foster location: Boise, ID
Meet Zipp! This handsome dude is a 10 year old Corgi who came to Fuzzy Pawz when his family had some major medical come up that no longer allowed them to care for Zipp.
This short legged guy is a ton of fun! He likes to chase the vacuum cleaner, bring you my favorite toy and playing catch with you, car trips and of course snuggling. He gets all excited when the doorbell rings as he knows it’s company and they will pet him!
Zipp is great with older kids (10 and older only please), adults, and cats. He won't bother a cat if it leaves him alone but he acts afraid if a cat invades his space. He was attacked by another dog when he was younger and never quite got over his fear so he will either need to be an only dog or with dogs that are not going to be in his face. Oh and NO chickens please as far as he is concerned chickens are only good for dinner.
He is house trained. He knows commands like "Go outside?", "Inside, Zipp" "Go potty" "up" (to lay with the kids in bed, or getting in the car). Zipp won't bark unless you initiate it by yelling squirrel (which he loves to chase)! Or if he sees the flash of a camera he knows the words "say cheese!" And will actively seek picture taker, he lived with a photographer so he LOVES the flash, flashlights, lqz3r lights he will become obsessed and can injure himself or others trying catch the flash!
Zip has high energy if he is playing catch and can play for a while. But he is also very lazy and a lap dog who LOVES attention and constant touching but isn't fond of kissing his face he's not a licker.
Zipp does have DLE (Discoid lupus erythematosus) and will need some moderate vet care from time to time. This is basically small doses of prednisone when needed to clear up skin lesions. Zipp does have mild arthritis which is common for his age; it doesn’t slow him down to much though.
Zipp is neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped.
