My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Anna and I can’t wait to jump into your arms! I’m a beautiful girl; a little shy at first but warm up quickly once I get to know you. My foster parents call me a sweet, loving and good natured girl. I’m about 2 years old and weigh in 18 pounds. I’m a little girl but very strong and can jump high and run fast!
I have two beagle foster siblings, whom I love very much. We run and play in the back yard, do our “business” and usually run back in (it’s been so cold this month.) I have two foster feline siblings as well. I don’t bother them, and they pretty much just ignore me. So if you have cats, we should get along just fine.
I’m working on house training and learning very quickly. My foster mom watches me closely and knows my signals when I need outside. I would learn quickly at your house. I’m very smart!
Did I tell you I love running around in the back yard? Please have a fence for me, I need the exercise. My foster parents do tell me “no” and I mostly listen to them. I’m trying very hard to be a good dog and learning fast. I have so much love to give! I will do anything for you! Just teach me please.
My favorite toys: My foster mom’s shirt after she takes it off. I think it smells like her. I usually take it to my bed and hide it. I don’t chew on it though. Sometimes I hide her flip-flop too. I don’t chew them, just hide them from her. It’s fun.
Things I really like: Running and playing; cuddling next to you; just being with you. I love sitting in laps and being in the same room with you. My foster mom calls me her shadow.
Things I don't like: Not being with you! My crate is fine. My foster parents let me take a crate nap while they eat dinner. Either they think I’m tired or just don’t want me to beg at the dinner table. I’m afraid sometimes of unfamiliar noises outside and inside… I just need to learn what they are, and grow accustomed to my new surroundings.
I’m crate trained but would prefer not to be in crate: Yes; but I will pout for the first few minutes. I need water while in the crate, so make sure you have the dish that attaches to side of crate. I would certainly spill it if not attached to side. I’m a good dog and can hang out with my other beagle friends and have the run of the house! We usually end up sleeping most of the time. We have beagle beds everywhere!
At night I’m happy to sleep in my bed with my foster sibs. Just tell me it’s time to go to bed! Sometimes I sleep with the people. J I usually sleep with my brother and sister beagles on a special bed the people made just for me. No alarm clock needed. I will wake you up with kisses!
I will let you know that I need to go outside by wandering around looking for a good place to pee or poop. You will just need to watch me carefully to pick up on my signals. I can be really subtle. You will figure it out quickly. It makes me happy when you know I need outside. You usually need to go outside with me so I feel secure. Or at least until I know your home is my forever home too!
I eat 2 times a day and I’m a chow hound at dinner time! I eat very quickly and lick the bowl clean. I’m a beagle so will try to find food anywhere! Sometimes when my foster parents aren’t watching I climb up on the dinner table to check out their main entrée.
I promise I will love you forever and ever. I will be very loyal and protect your family always. I’ll be waiting for you!
