Here's what the humans have to say about me:
SWEET & GENTLE SENIOR
Meet Hoppy, a very sweet 7 year old, 25 pound, brown Beagle boy, who has finished his heartworm treatment (yea) and is ready for the next step in his new life, a forever home.
Hoppy is a very mellow boy, gets along great with dogs and cats. Rides great in the car. Hoppy loves to chill out with his humans, whether snuggling or in his dog bed, as long as he's in the same room, he's happy. Hoppy does use the fenced yard, although he doesn't stay out that long, does his duty and usually comes right back in. He would enjoy walks and does well on a leash.
Hoppy's forever home wishes:
A single person or empty nesters, no chaos.
Another dog or not. I think Hoppy would enjoy being the only dog, however, if the other dog were low energy like Hoppy, he'd be ok with that.
A small crate. It's his comfort zone.
Fenced yard or not.
If you're looking for a wonderful companion who will be your shadow, Hoppy is your boy. He's on the small size, not a big barker, but does bark, so I'm not sure if he'd be good in an apartment. And when you come home, he'll be ready with kisses and a wagging tail.
If you'd like to meet Hoppy, let your adoption counselor know so that a meet and greet could be arranged. Hoppy looks forward to meeting you.
