Lucky's Story...
Lucky is a lovable and sweet 6 year old beagle/basset hound mix that is full of personality and spunk! Lucky was a bit unlucky when right before Christmas, his owner turned him in due to being unable to care for him any longer. Poor Lucky had a terrible ear infection and flea infestation upon arrival but after some medical treatment and a good long spa day, he is feeling like a brand new pup! Lucky has zero shyness about him. As soon as he meets you, you are his new best friend and he'll be placing his paws gently on your legs, mushing against you to get some attention. He is very well behaved and will sit nicely when asked, is very gentle with taking treats, walks well on a leash and even offers you a pawshake in friendship. Lucky even has the begging move down-pat! Lucky has a curious hound-dog nose while out for a walk and wants to check out everything. He is a bit overwhelmed by the other dogs barking at him while going past them for a walk but when he sees another dog outside, he's happy to meet them. He even spotted a cat or two and seemed fine with them. Lucky is such a perfect family dog that will be loving and loyal, and your best friend forever. He just needs a family to share his life with. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucky, a Forked River Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Forked River, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Forked River.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Forked River already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Forked River breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Forked River paves the way for another one to be saved.
