Zeke's Story...
Hi New Friends,
My name is Zeke and I’m a brindle-colored little fluff of a guy with a face that launched a thousand ships. Oh that’s not quite right. But I am known for being quite the looker! I’m 4 weeks old, weigh only a bit more than 2 pounds and am just as cute as I can be! I’m a loving and gentle little pup who is also known for finding the warmest spot to sleep – and I do excel in sleeping. (Mom calls it my beauty rest and says that’s why I’m so handsome.)

Every day I learn new things. Why, I’ve already learned about the sun and this thing called ‘rain’, am learning about grass and how to walk and play. Whee! Being a puppy is such fun!

There are six of us (three boys and three girls) in my family and we are adorable and adoptable! Please be sure to complete an adoption application – so we can get to know one another. You can meet me now — and I can go home with you in mid-January. In the meantime I will continue to learn as much as I can and get ready for my forever home.

Tail wags and puppy kisses,

Ziggy, Zaggy Zeke

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zeke, a La Costa Havanese/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese/Labrador Retriever for sale in La Costa, or seeking a Havanese/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in La Costa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in La Costa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a La Costa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Havanese/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in La Costa paves the way for another one to be saved.
