Meet sweet Bailey! She is a 6 year old Shih Tzu. We actually think that she is a pure Shih Tzu, but we can't be certain. This poor girl was found wandering the streets in the city, when a police officer picked her up and brought her to the shelter. Shockingly, nobody came to claim this pretty girl. The shelter can be a scary place for any dog, but Bailey remained sweet during her stay there. Unfortunately, Bailey became sick. That's when the shelter reached out to one of our volunteers and asked if we could take this friendly girl in, and of course we said yes!
Bailey has such a friendly and welcoming personality. She loves all people and she greets everyone with a gentle sniff. She truly enjoys being with people (true to her breed). She loves to go for walks, going for car rides, and snuggling with her foster family. She doesn't mind the big dogs in her foster home either.
Bailey does have a little bump on her eye lid. The vet is not concerned about it, but it will need to be monitored by her new owner. In time, if the bump bothers her, it may need to be removed. At this point, it does not bother Bailey at all.
We will never understand how Bailey ended up on the streets and in the shelter, but Bailey is ready to leave that old life behind. She is ready to start her life with a new family who will promise to love her forever. She is one sweet girl with so much love to give.
Bailey is spayed, housetrained, micro-chipped, and up to date with her shots.
If you are interested in adopting this pretty girl, please fill out an application and come meet Bailey at our next adoption day event.
