Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie is a special 9 year old cavalier looking for someone to love him for whatever time he has left...He was rescued after spending his entire life in a cage and an Amish puppy mill breeding. Sadly, upon his rescue a loud heart murmur was detected and he has advanced heart disease. This is a congenital defect common in his breed, and was passed down to the hundreds of pups he fathered over the years who were sold in pet stores to unsuspecting buyers. He's been started on medication which will hopefully give him some quality time to enjoy in a nice quiet home. He is very skittish and timid with people but loves other dogs and feels safe around them. He isn't able to be put under anesthesia at this time for neuter/dental due to his heart condition and will have to be rechecked in a few months to see if his heart would be able to handle surgery, but it will likely be too risky. We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS).
