In 1969 Neil Young wrote and sang, “I wanna live with a cinnamon girl. I could be happy the rest of my life with a cinnamon girl.” We agree anyone would be happy the rest of their life with our Cinnamon girl. Cinnamon is a 45lb 6 year-old female Shar-Pei/mix. She is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. She is housetrained and crate-trained. The list of adjectives used to describe Cinnamon, is LONG. Cinnamon is quiet, alert, compliant, friendly, well-behaved, eager to please, mellow, and easy-going. She enjoys leisurely walks while taking time to smell the roses along the way, but is easily encouraged to walk on with her person. Cinnamon doesn’t bark but she does cry to go outside to go pee and when her favorite 17-year-old girl comes home from school in anticipation of the afternoon run that she has come to love even more than the leisurely walks! She knows sit, very well. She will sit for treats and takes them very gently. She enjoys treats and bones, but squeaky toys get her super excited and she won’t rest until the toy is destroyed and the squeaker is silenced. She does know the difference between her toys and people things and she does not bother the later. Cinnamon likes to go for car rides—she will hop right in, and sit right down, like she’s been doing it her entire life. Cinnamon’s foster mom describes her as a dear dog, gentle and sad—sad, that she has come to expect nothing from people and yet is grateful for every kindness shown to her. “A dreamer of pictures I run in the night. You see us together, chasing the moonlight, my cinnamon girl.” One look at her happy Cinna-smile and enthusiastic wiggle-butt and your heart will melt like a cinnamon-chip oatmeal cookie! Cinnamon is spicy and sweet and ready to meet her forever family.
