My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pax is such a dream- come- true pup for any family! If you're searching for a true-blue companion that has no greater joy than to join you for leisurely walks, enjoy visits with dog-loving friends and then as the day ends..to lie happily in your lap (or at least by your side)...if this type of pup speaks to your heart, then Pax is your perfect guy.

Pax is just about 8 years old (just at the prime of his life as these small breeds often have life spans of 16+ years). Pax weighs just about 8 lbs and is a loving and very sweet purebred Pomeranian.

This soft- as- cotton guy had no idea why he was suddenly facing euthanasia in a scary New Mexico shelter....he tried SO hard to be the best-behaved dog around! How could he possibly understand that he was turned in to be euthanized because his human mom developed Alzheimers disease? We believe this very resilient guy was part of a puppy mill operation that included 21 other dogs. Due to the illness of this caretaker, the dogs weren't fed regularly or barely taken care of. Pax was the first of the 22 dogs to earn his freedom (it helps to be really cute with a great temperament). Farfel's was immediately contacted to help this great companion dog find a forever home that loves him with all their hearts.

This amazing dog...with the best soul...deserves only the greatest that life has to offer! Pax's behavior is so loving and devoted that he's appropriate for any family that considers their pet a very important family member. Pax has been welcomed into shops, friend's homes and every situation that a really sweet and kind dog is appreciated. Pax is so so cuddly and warm that he brings a sense of calm and sweetness to all those who have the pleasure of spending time with him.

With all of Pax's snuggly ways, he's also open to serious play and fun...just as long as he's with his favorite people, Pax is good to go...anywhere. He loves riding shotgun on errands or adventures...as long as he can be a copilot and see what's going on outside the window. He's actually pretty good about not being a backseat driver.

We envision Pax in an adult home where he is truly a part of a family that enjoys their time at home... or likes to bring a wonderful, fuzzy guy with them. When Pax can't come along, you can bet he'll be at the window loyally waiting for his family to return. When they do, his joy knows no end and his welcome is always so happy that he wiggles with delight.

Pax also seems to enjoy his time with gentle, like-sized dogs. We do, however, feel that Pax could be very happy in a single-dog household as long as he's loved and brought along on adventures that are dog-appropriate. .

Pomeranians have the most beautiful coats with shades of gold and blonde running through it. They do require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition. If their coat is responsibly cared for, it will be soft as cotton and so very beautiful.

Pax will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 1/7/17. Applications are currently being accepted for our sweet boy. If interested in this adorable ...and very cuddly and loving best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730.
