My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi meet Meka. She is about 18 lb, fully grown, and approximately 1.5 yr old, chocolate beagle. She is a very sweet girl and a survivor with a very traumatizing story. She is now ready to start a new life thanks to a previous family that saved her and cared for her until she was surrendered to Midwest BREW.

She is very timid and skittish, because of that she cowers when reached for and wets from fear. It has improved every day and doesn't happen near as often. But once she warms up to you she will love to follow you, snuggle, and absolutely loves to be petted.

She likes playing with her foster siblings. She wrestles, and plays “tug-a-war” with them. She also loves toys. Meka rides well in a car. She loves to take walks and does well on leash.

Does great using a dog door but will need extra patience with potty training.

Once she warms up and becomes comfortable she starts to show her confidence and could be fine as a single pup or with a sibling.

I think she'd be fine in an apartment, condo or house. With access to walks and dog parks, but a fenced area would be great. Due to her history she can not use a tie out.
