Here's what the humans have to say about me:
6/18/2017 ELSIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED! Elsie was found as a stray. The woman who brought her to us, told her she had searched for her owner and could not keep her and then kindof left her and drove off. At the time, we had very little space to take in a new dog but she was so cute, how could we not try to find her a new home. Elsie looks to be a young girl..maybe about a year old and we are guessing that she is a lab/italian greyhound mix. She has a good deal of energy like the greyhound breeds have but she has a sweet disposition like the lab. We feel that she would do well in an active home or a home where she could run and expend some of that pent up puppy/greyhound energy. We would not recommend her for a strictly sedentary lifestyle, although she would probably love to curl up on the couch with you once she has played and frolicked a bit. She would do great with kids or other dogs who could entertain her and give her some activity. We do not know how she is with cats but would probably do fine with inside cats after an initial adjustment as long as the house rules were laid down immediately and boundary lines drawn. Outside cats is anyone's guess-most dogs like to chase them when they run unless they have been raised around them and there is no way for us to know since she was a stray. Elsie will be spayed tomorrow, 1/4/17 and will be available for adoption anytime after that date. Please email your adoption application and interest if you would like to bring Elsie home and make her a part of your family or call us @ (352)493-1255 to set up a meet and greet! Her adoption fee will be $175 and will help us to cover her spay, vetting and cost of care while with us.
