Hi ya! My name is Mr. Kelly. I was born around June 1, 2016. I am a favorite of the cat volunteers. They tell me all the time how wonderful I am. I have a very friendly, affectionate, outgoing personality. I love everyone I meet. I love to give hugs and kisses, but my favorite thing is to ride around on my human’s shoulders. I was freezing my toosh off outside, unable to find food or water. I was begging everyone I saw, then finally a police officer scooped me up and took me to a warm, safe place. I was so grateful and happy for the yummy bowl of food, fresh water and blanket. I am now looking for a loving forever home. I love to cuddle and be close to people. I am a fabulous companion and buddy, so happy to have attention and love again. I use a litterbox like a good boy. Petco, 29335 Orchard Lake Rd, Farmington Hills (just south of 13 Mile Rd). From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 1st and 3rd Saturday each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2017: February 4, February 18, March 4, March 18, April 1, April 15, May 6, May 20, June 3, June 17, July 1, July 15, August 5, August 19, September 16, October 7, October 21, November 4, November 18, December 2 and December 16.
Saturday, February 25: Adoption Event at
PetPeople, 6520 Telegraph Rd, Bloomfield Hills. From noon to 4 p.m., come meet adoptable cats and kittens on the 4th Saturday of each month (as available - not all adoptable animals will be at every event).
Adoption event dates for 2017: February 25, March 25, April 22, May 27, June 24, July 22, August 26, September 23, October 28 and November 25.
Adoption Process: Complete the application at
www.pawsforliferescue.org. We then arrange a location, date and time for you to meet some pets. If the meeting goes well and everyone is happy, you begin the mandatory, minimum two-week adjustment period with the pet as part of your family. You will pay the non-refundable adoption fee at the start of the two-week adjustment period. This pending period allows your new dog or cat time to adjust to their new home, new people, new routine, etc., and for you to decide if it's a match and the right pet for you. At the end of two weeks (some people extend the adjustment time as needed and that's fine too), if everyone is happy, then we finalize the adoption. Feel free to email if you have any questions.
