Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DELILAH UPDATE 1/5/17!! She's a little wiggly so it's hard to get great pictures but here she is! Sweet Delilah has pulled through and is doing great!! She's eating like a champ and ready to be a puppy again. She's an adorable little girl who is ready to find a foster or her forever home. If you're interested in welcoming Delilah into your life, please visit labradorfriends.com/how-to-adopt to fill out an application or email labfriendinfo@gmail.com if you are already approved. Thanks again to everyone who has supported Delilah!!

MEET DELILAH! This precious girl is an 8 week old Lab/Australian Shepherd mix who has found herself in a pretty tough situation. Unfortunately Delilah was a Christmas present, purchased from a flea-market and given to a nice family who weren’t planning on getting a dog. When Delilah stopped eating over the weekend and got very sick, she was taken to the vet and diagnosed with dreaded parvo. Like many surprise pet parents, Delilah’s family was not prepared for this medical emergency, so they decided to relinquish her. When we received the desperate plea for help for sweet baby Delilah, we knew we had to act fast. Parvo is a very contagious virus that can quickly become life threatening, and Delilah needed emergency intensive hospitalization and life supportive fluids. She was placed in the ICU at our vet’s office and is now on 24/7 IV fluids and several medications to try to help her fight as best as she can. By this evening, she started to wag her tail and even ate a little bit for the wonderful vet techs taking care of her.

Even at just 3.5 pounds, tiny Delilah is proving to be a fighter, and she deserves the chance to live. We will do all we can to help this little girl, but we need your help. Delilah’s medical bills have already reached just over $500. With every day she is hospitalized, the total only grows.

Please, please, if you are able, even if it’s just $1, help us give Delilah the Christmas miracle she deserves and donate to her care. Every penny will be used in the effort to save her life and give her a chance to find a loving family in the future that can show her how great life can be. She will surely appreciate it, as well as everyone at LFS!
