Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"Joseph" is a sweet 5-year old male Tuxedo kitty who was brought to the HSOV on January 5, 2017 by a Good Samaritan who had found him in Lowell Ohio. "Joseph" has a very touching 'Hallmark Christmas-type' story which brought tears to our eyes when we heard where he was found :) This little angel had taken refuge and was sleeping in the manger of a nativity setting at a church in the village of Lowell :) :) The Good Samaritan asked that we name him Joseph <3
"Joseph" has a rather rugged-looking outward appearance and seems to have fallen on bad times recently. But someone surely loved him at one time in his life since he has such a lovable, affectionate personality and rubs up against you for attention. The pads of his paws are swollen and sore, and he tends to 'favor' them but seems to instinctively know that he is now in good hands.
"Joseph" has a gray-and-white short smooth coat in a tuxedo pattern, a long tail, and an adorable face with a pink nose and long white whiskers. He was given vaccinations, wormer, and Revolution flea treatment on January 5, 2017. "Joseph" currently weighs 7.6 lbs. He will be neutered (at no cost to whomever gives him a fabulous home).
UPDATE 1/8/2017 .. We were sad when we discovered that "Joseph" tested positive for FIV yesterday afternoon, and we will be looking for a special home/rescue for this special guy. He could be placed in a home with no other cats in the household (or in a home with other FIV+ cats) or with a rescue group who offers a safe sanctuary for FIV/FeLV positive kitties.
