My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World, Aimee
My name is Adorable Aimee. I’m a happy, social and sweet bichon maltese girl of about 2 who, according to my Mom, has the cutest face she has ever seen and is a champion cuddler (Aw gee, Mom. Thanks.) I’m a natural meeter-and-greeter who loves all people and (drum roll please) loves to play! Mom says I am 10 pounds of pure love. (I think she likes me, don’t you?)
I’m an inquisitive girl who likes to know what’s going on (that’s because I never want to miss out on any fun!). And I play pretty much 24/7 with my doggy foster sister who is about my age and size. We are rarely apart (we even sleep next to one another so we can recharge our batteries) and I am finally getting to be a young active pup as I certainly deserved to be.

Before I became a furkid I was owned by an older man. He didn’t walk me or play with me. I was just kind of ‘there.’ It’s not that he was unkind – he just simply should not have had a young pup like me for a companion. So after a couple of years he figured that out – and gave me up. And that was when my happy life began!

Aimee Dad says I’m very creative. You see I already made up this game. Here is how it goes: I take my favorite squeaky toy (named, Baby) out of the toy basket and walk around with it. I then engage my human in a game of Fetch except I don’t bring the toy all the way back and give it to Mom or Dad. Instead, I come right back and lay on Mom’s feet (usually) and chew Baby for all it’s worth. When I have had enough of that, Mom does it all over again. Doesn’t that sound like fun?. Would you like to try? If Mom gets tired of this game, no problem. I either go to Dad or just toss the toy up in the air on my own and keep myself entertained.

I’m also a great companion and a major cuddler. I love to go for walks and rides (in the car, that is!) Short rides or long rides, short walks or long walks – they are all great. Mom says I am always ready to go. I really like my walks because I get to meet more people and other dogs too. I even met a rottweiler (that’s a very funny name for a very big dog)

Mom is working with me on commands and I’m learning my name. If you have a treat in your hand I will sit and sometimes even stay (unless there is something more fun going on). I’ve mastered the doggy door too (but I sure wish the rain would go away).

After a busy day playing, and walking and visiting, I like to relax and sleep quietly in the big peoples bed with my back against my Dad all night long.

So only if you have another young active furkid and are looking for a little girl to light up your life too then please ask for me. If you don’t have another furkid, though, please look at some of our other furkids as they might be a fit for you.

Tail wags and toys galore,
Absolutely Adorable and Adaptable Aimee
