Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Jake is an energetic 2-3 year old male American Staffordshire Terrier, Labrador Retriever Mix that is waiting for a new home at our Humane Society. He was brought to our shelter in February 2016 by his owner because he no longer had time for him. We are hoping to find Jake a dog experienced and active type home that enjoys going for long walks or hikes everyday or have a fenced yard for Jake to run and play in.
Jake is a super smart dog, and he knows basic commands like sit and stay and is housebroken. He is a strong boy, and pulls a bit on leash, but he is getting better with leash walking and listens to our shelter staff pretty well. Jake LOVES going for walks on our dog trail and spending time with our shelter staff members. He has been around a cat before in his previous home and he seems to respect cats but we will be testing him more closely. He does well with certain easy going female dogs, but he likes to rough house so another dog will have to be able to handle his play style. Jake needs a home with older kids, 12 years and up.
If you are interested in finding out more about Jake please contact us. He will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm lyme disease tested prior to adoption.
