Make A Difference in your Community - Adopt a Shelter Dog!Would you like to foster a Shelter Survivor?
Meet sweet Ollie! Ollie is a three year old Yorkie mix. He weighs about 10 pounds He was surrendered to the shelter shortly before Christmas. When one of our volunteers spotted this scared boy, he knew that he needed to get this guy out of the shelter and into a home.
It didn't take Ollie long to realize that he was safe with his foster family. He's a little shy when he first meets someone new, but he warms up quickly. Ollie loves to go for car rides! In all honesty, Ollie loves to go where ever his foster family goes! He likes to play fetch and go for walks; but his favorite thing to do is to snuggle with his foster family.
Ollie is fine with children. He is also good with dogs of all sizes (he lives with larger and smaller dogs in his foster home). He knows some basic commands like sit and lay down. Ollie is doing well with his house training, but he still needs some work. He will do best on a consistent walking schedule. He prefers to relieve himself on walks (as opposed to being let out in a yard). Ollie will need a person or family that is committed to working on this with him. Ollie does not enjoy his crate while is foster family is not home. He will bark for a while. He really prefers to sit in a lap most of the day or to go along with his family when possible :0)
Ollie is a great little dog. He will need an owner who will have patience and continue to help him work on his house training.
If you are interested in providing Ollie with the forever home that he deserves, please fill out an application and come meet him at our next adoption day event.
Ollie is neutered, up to date with his shots, and microchipped.
