Baxter's Story...
Look at this fancy furry fellow! Baxter is a 2 year old wire haired terrier mix that loves to sit in your lap! He was brought to the shelter when his previous owners no longer wanted the responsibility of taking care of him. Baxter can be a little shy at first, but with treats and sweet talk he will open up pretty quickly to anyone. Baxter is pretty laid back overall, but still has his playful moments! He gets along with other dogs in his room who are around his size. He is doing great with his housetraining but may need some reminding in his new home. Baxter is neutered, microchipped, heart worm tested negative and up to date on his vaccines. You can come meet him at our Waggin' Tails Adoption Center, we are open every single day from 12-6pm!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Benbrook Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Benbrook, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Benbrook.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Benbrook already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Benbrook breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Benbrook paves the way for another one to be saved.
