Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ranger is a bit camera-shy and hoping you will be won over by his charm! He is a real snuggle-bug and LOVES people. He will take every opportunity to nudge his way into your presence for some cuddling. All it takes is those big brown puppy-dog eyes looking up at you and your heart will melt. Ranger is estimated to be a 2 yr old Black Lab/Mountain Cur mix who weighs 45 lbs. He does great with other pets but longs to be near his person for cuddle time. He has the softest fur with beautiful brindle markings. Ranger can be seen here in a video as he is running & playing with foster sister, Yoko: https://youtu.be/Ju5AvzyiWmU
Ranger was rescued from a rural outdoor-only shelter in Oklahoma where there is no adoption program. Dogs are held for two weeks and if not reclaimed by their owners, they are killed. There is no electricity, no shelter from the elements except a plastic dog house with hay, no volunteers to come walk them, and little to no chance of making it out alive. Dolly's Legacy is working hard to save them from a terrible fate and give them the chance they deserve at a happy life with loving families.
Ranger is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for heartworm, given Pro-Heart injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. Adoption fee is $275. The FIRST step is to have you complete our online adoption application. All adoption appointments are scheduled AFTER your application has been approved.
