Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The Chow Chow is a breed that originated in northern China, where it is referred to as Songshi Quan, which means “puffy-lion dog.” Noel, a recent arrival from the county shelter, certainly looks like a puffy-lion dog. She is four years old and weighs 32 pounds. Noel does not have the distinctive curly tail of a Chow, but she does have several Chow traits. Chow Chows tend to display discernment of strangers and can become fiercely protective of their owners and property. A shelter environment will expose a dog to strangers on a daily basis, and Noel is trying to accept this new social atmosphere. She seems to prefer women over men and she has shown that she prefers to see the same woman. Noel does warm up, and has crawled into a comforting lap. She appears to enjoy sweet and silly baby talk; she reacts positively and wants to interact. The adoption fee is $200 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit with our vet. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm, and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm, and a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment. Visit our website at www.homefurgood.org for more information.
