My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello World!
My name is Pogo and, according to my foster Mom, I’m a young (about two), active (more on that later) and happy (oh boy am I!) bichon boy. Mom says I earned my name because I like to jump up into your arms (on command) and am as athletic as I am loveable. I like to go for long walks of about a mile and never tire. I do, however, relax when we get home.
Dad says I’m a sporty guy who likes to play with a ball or toy, then race through the yard with my doggy foster brothers and sisters. He wants me to tell you that hee taught me to fetch a ball and says I’m a “natural”. I don’t know exactly what that means but I think it’s a good thing.

Before I came to Mom and Dad’s house, I was lonely and scared! My hair was a tangled mess, with stickers scratching my skin. I had not been well cared for but my BFK Aunties could see the sweetness in my soul – and knew I deserved a chance.

Now my hair is soft and white and I’m clean, safe and warm. It feels so wonderful to be safe and warm! I’m housebroken (no typo there!) know my name, come when I’m called and am learning other commands. When it comes to going for walks I’m quire good however when it comes to rides in the car I’m still ‘a work in progress’. He hopes that I will come to understand that rides in the car mean I’m going to good places with my family! For now I’m still learning that car rides do not mean I will be taken some place and abandoned.

Mom says I’m good around children and would probably be fine with a family. If there was someone who wanted to run with me and play fetch I think that would be great. Did I mention that I’m a great cuddler and snuggler (on the bed or the couch) and I’m crate trained? I also am a great watch dog.

Dad says I am a fantastic companion and have the cutest way of showing affection. I give ‘nose kisses’. That’s where I take my mouth and gently put it around your nose and ‘massage’ it. He says it is a true sign of affection and that I do it when I’m happiest!

What I really need now is a forever family who is looking for a guy who is active, loving, cuddly, smart, energetic and cute. If you are ready for a great little guy who wants to be all yours, then please ask for me – I’m Pogo!

Bichon waves and wags,
Playful and Precocious Pogo
