I am considered a Sun cat because I am still a little feral. Hi my name is Rocco and I come from a lot in an industrial area outside of JFK. My life was hard but good, I had a lot of cat friends. I was found by a crazy cat lady when I was about three months old. She just came and trapped, several times a day for a few weeks until we were all trapped. We all went to the doctor for checkups, like I said crazy, but we were all healthy!

We were evaluated for temperament and either returned or fostered to adjust to a new life, inside
with food(yippee), clean water and heat(heat is my favorite).
Turns out I am one of the last from my colony, cause the crazy lady says I'm tricky. She said I am handsome and can be so sweet at times. I just don't want to be picked up or sit one your lap. I am a great companion cat for another house kitty, she says non aggressive, lol =^..^=

About CONNER'S CAUSE for Supposedly Unadoptable Cats

About Our Rescue Group...

We believe that every cat deserves to be cared for whether they play with you, curl up in your lap, or prefer to hang out by themselves or with other feline companions.

Conner's Cause is sponsored by Give Me Shelter Project, Inc. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue, education and advocacy organization. You can learn more about Give Me Shelter Project by visiting our website: www.GiveMeShelterProject.org.

Conner’s Cause is an initiative that Give Me Shelter Project has launched to try to find loving forever homes for the Supposedly Unadoptable Cats that currently reside in animal shelters and with rescue groups.

Our organization has generally defined "supposedly unadoptable cats" as those who range in temperament from semi-friendly to semi-feral. For the purposes of this initiative, we have broadened our definition of “supposedly unadoptable cats” to include other categories of cats that are difficult to place in adoptive homes. These include: seniors, handicapped, FIV+, FeLV+, cats with treatable and untreatable illnesses.

We invite you to consider adopting a "Supposedly Unadoptable Cat". Please join “Conner’s Cause” and BRING HOME THE MAGIC!

Our Adoption Process...

You will be asked to fill out an adoption application and generally a telephone interview will follow. Next, a home visit will be performed to help "ready" your home for the new cat(s).

Supposedly Unadoptable Cats are special and we require adopters for this particular group of cats to be experienced cat people.

While we hope that the commitment you make will be life long, all cats adopted out through this initiative will be returnable for the life of the cat.
