My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet me at Petco in Collierville on E. Shelby Drive at Houston Levee Saturday, May 13th from 11am to 2pm!
Beagle Boy is about 5 years old and weighs about 26 pounds. He was found in the Memphis, Tn. area with his mouth taped shut. His finders took him to their vet and he was boarded there until Save1Pet was able to take him in and foster him.
He is neutered, has a microchip, is current on all his vaccines and preventatives. They removed a growth on his tail and it was non malignant. He just finished his heartworm treatment.
Beagle Boy may think he's in trouble. He responds well to positive reinforcement and that helps him gain more confidence.
Wherever he came from they were not nice to him at all. It goes much deeper than just having his mouth taped shut. He would duck and hold his head down like he's begging not to be hit again. He is getting better everyday and will need time to adjust to a loving family. Beagle Boy will do best in a home that will not try to cuddle him since he has suffered from abusive situations. He isn't a lap dog but does like to hunt after squirrels in the back yard. He doesn't do well with other dogs and he will require to have a secured fenced in yard. We are hoping that someone with experience with dogs that have suffered physical abuse will be able to open their hearts to giving him a comfortable life.
His adoption fee is $120.
